Gospel Ministers: What is your focus?

Our hearts are made for worship, and if it does not worship God, we will worship something else.
Our songs should be a blessing to the world and they must  glorify God. If they  don't  glorify God, they glorify someone or something else.

Most times I ask myself, where is my focus? Yes i need to look good while on stage but let my focus not be on what people will see me put on and how well packaged I look.  My focus should not also be on the skills I feel I need to show off in my ministration. Allow God lead you!! We spend so much on the physical and spend lesser time to prepare our hearts to worship and bring the audience to a place of intense worship.
Look Good, spend time in rehearsals but in all, let your focus be to give God the praise and worship due his name.

Now I ask you too, what is your focus on as a gospel minister? Think on these things and pray to God to help you look beyond the clothes and skills but to focus your heart on him alone.

Ese-Osa, was born in the cold Jos Plateau, North of Nigeria. Although she hails from Edo State, her developmental years were spent in different parts of Nigeria, a factor which influences her multi-cultural talent today. The album, produced by multiple award winner and Sony BMG producer Cobhams Asuquo, alongside Pitch and Shaba-ark was released with the objective of fostering the demonstration of character in the lives of Christians as beacons of light in the midst of an unbelieving society.

Gospel Ministers... Be original

God has created you to be who you are today for a reason. It is a priviledge to be born into this world and be blessed to be  a minister in songs when I watched people singing before,  I always felt bad and ask myself  why can't I sing like that lady/man?

And so I started listening to some musicians, I would watch how they move, how they open their mouth to sing, how they pronounce their words just to sound like them.

And one day I decided that I must not try to be like any other person but to pray and ask God for his anointing power whenever I'm holding the Mic to minister. God always showed up because i gave him his place. He owns my voice and he's got the power to use me. What else do i need?

Be original. You don't have to copy the next person. God has a genuine reason why he has blessed you with that  unique voice.
Never feel your gift is not good enough or its not what you wanted. Get some vocal  training, improve on your singing,  Identify where you are and build your skills but never try to be someone else.

Love that voice. But always put God first before you go out to minister.  He will surely honour his word.
Shalom!

Grace Celebrates Jerry Omole, a Dynamic & Generous Saxophonist

It's not only when you go up stage that you are a blessing.  The life you live daily, how you treat people and what you impact in them should also reflect who christ had been to us.

God expects us to help others grow, teach others, and spend time building people to become who they want to be. That is Christianity.

Permit me to introduce someone who has been a wonderful brother. Yes i heard about him after he played the saxophone  in the very popular song by one great legend " come let's praise the Lord by Panam Percy Paul.
Today  he has been a blessing to the body of Christ, raising men and women to play the saxophone. I was so touched when I watched this video. (Attached).
He taught me a lesson this morning.
YOU CAN LEAVE THIS WORLD THE WAY YOU CAME BUT IT'S BETTER TO LEAVE DROPPING  SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR.
Please gospel artiste, don't allow greed make you die with what you carry. Create an impact in this your lifetime. Let your voice and skill impact someone today. Die empty!!!! Let the world know someone like you passed through it when you are gone.

Teach someone, share someone's songs, you don't know who it will bless.  It doesn't have to be about you alone on your page, help someone grow too. Don't allow greed, hatred, jealousy build up in your heart. Let it not just be about you!!!! You!!! Don't feel  your helping them will make them more popular than you. That is greed!! If you have become a blessing, help someone too to be a blessing. I celebrate you Jerry Omole for pouring out what GOD has blessed you with.

My story, God's glory... The song " have your way"

Last year was quite challenging for me. I decided to start working on my songs, and after  sharing my thoughts. I was so discouraged that it almost made me not to believe in myself . I scaled through getting my first song out and preparing for the second one.

I was a bit confused, I didn't know where to start from because i was still coming out of the disappointment and depression from the world that i had so much hope on prior the release of my first single "glory" .

I knew the enemy was at work trying to stop the release of these songs. I was so depressed at some point and felt I should just give up singing.

That faithful day, it was like a new revelation. All I was saying was " God what is going on".    I realized that I had so trusted in the world rather than looking up to God. I believed everything I needed will just come easily for me. Yes, God shut every angle to make me realize something.
HE cannot share his glory with any man.
I was getting ready to go for the session that morning and i decided to spend sometime praying. I was very confused.
It was so bad that I didn't even have an idea what I wanted to do that morning in the studio. I wasn't just too sure if the song I had in mind was what God wanted me to work on. I was asking God to help me when he gave me a new song.
Sometimes in the midst of confusion, depression, fear and pain, listen deep. God is telling you something.
I started singing " have your way in me" and immediately I got it recorded on my phone so I don't forget it.
I had so much peace after that prayer and by Gods grace, the song is all over the world and blessing lives.

That was my sincere prayer at that point in my life.

If you ask God, he will tell you what to do.
You just need to be closer to God. He speaks clearly. All my doubt, fears and worries ended when I put everything in his hands .
Today make this song your prayer and be ready to obey his leading.  You will never go wrong. Don't worry child of God, God has a better plan for you. God bless you.
Listen, be blessed!

Gospel Ministers: Don't be discouraged...

You have been blessed with a talent from your mothers womb.  God gave you something he did not give to the next person standing by your side.  He has richly blessed you so that you can be a blessing to someone else and also to his church.
My dear gospel ministers, what you carry is not the same as the other person's gift.
Your voice is unique, its a gift from the Father. No man can do what God has created you to do.

Have you listened to yourself over and over again? Didn't you see something so unique about You?

Please don't feel discouraged.  You may not have the best voice but when God's grace is upon You, your story is different.

You must have been somewhere for years and nobody has seen anything good in you. You are hoping to see your church promote your songs or give you a platform to be known but at the end, you're disappointed. Please don't disappoint God, He is the only one that can promote you. Yes!!!! He makes a way where we don't see any way.

Don't give up, God has something better for you and soon you will see that IN HIS TIME HE MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL.
Be in tune with God. Let him lead You, let Him direct your path. He that has called you is faithful to bring every promise about you to reality.
Keep the faith.
Let God be glorified in all you do.
GOD BLESS YOU.
SHALOM!

Following Gods leading as a gospel minister By UFUOMA AARON

As a gospel minister following God's leading is very key. Jesus who is our perfect example,  gave us  a mandate to go everywhere and  preach the gospel, but we still have to be led by the spirit for particular places.

If you notice they called Jesus to come and heal Lazarus but he didn't go as soon as they told him. Also Paul, he wanted to go to Macedonia but was warned not to. The three wise men where  also warned in the dream not  go to at that time. So we need to pray and also get a clear leading if its time to go for a particular meeting or not. The bible says as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God.
So how do you know if God doesn't want you to go for an event?

  • Pray immediately you get an invitation

Don't give a yes immediately,  tell them you will get back to them.

  • Know what God is saying, he speaks so listen for his voice. He may also speak through someone close to you. I remember when my late mum wanted to go for an event, she spoke to me how her spirit doesn't want her to go, I remember pleading with her not to go, but hey! She still went and she had an accident and died. That's a pretty extreme case but it happened.
  • Don't think of the money first and  just accept. Sometimes there is more to what they are offering.

Many times we get into accepting all invitations that come because maybe we haven't had an event in a while or we think that having a lot of programs means we are making progress.  Also financial issues push us to just accepting.
Also the lie they keep saying about giving you a platform, that can really push one into accepting any and every invite.
Also because you feel you need to keep up with everyone,  because they are posting and sharing pictures of events, so you need to do the same.
I will keep saying this, he that called us is faithful to keep us. God does not sponsor flops, he won't start with us.

Spiritual preparation makes the difference

A lot of invitations to minister in songs, a whole lot of programs packed every week. Concerts, Worship services, Album launches, etc. come every time.

There is so much about being an artiste these days. People prefer the platform to showcase themselves rather than carrying the power of God. It is very important that we prepare ourselves spiritually first before setting out to minister.
As a matter of fact, there is no anointing when you are not spiritually prepared to bless lives. We will only hear beautiful harmonies.

Think on these things:
Do you genuinely ask God for His permission before you go for a ministration? Yes!! Have you asked God if it is His will to go there? Remember, you are a preacher in songs, and you need to be prepared to stand out to sing.
Song ministration  is not just about holding the mic to sing. You are a channel used to bring down God's divine power, anointing, and glory, and the devil will fight you to stop you from doing it. He may even attack your family or loved ones just to pull you down. Maybe even your ministry.

How prepared are we?
We spend time preparing our outfits, make overs, and  rehearsals, but we spend little time in the presence of God. We need to know what God wants us to sing, because for every ministration, there is someone you have to reach out to. We do not have to miss this. It could be someone going through a challenge, someone that needs encouragement, someone that has been believing God for healing, someone that needs divine direction...the list goes on.

If you spend time asking God what He wants you to sing, He will give you that song for His people. Many times we just want to sing a new song: what we feel free to flow with, and maybe that is not what God wants us to do.

  • Spend some time in God's presence. Worship Him, and Pray.
  • Picture yourself before the Owner of the universe
  • See yourself as His messenger going to deliver what He is sending you to

Remember it is for God's glory, not yours
Shalom!

Gospel Artists: Singing about Christ to a secular world!

How do we preach the gospel to the world?

Lately, I have been really disturbed at the way gospel music is gradually losing its worth in the media.

For the past two years or more, I have not heard about "One Gospel " and "Kingdom Africa". There was a time where we could tune in and watch gospel songs and messages, but one day I tuned in (One Gospel), and it was no longer available. Could it be financial reasons? Kingdom Africa also has been off on DSTV.

If you go to a T.V. station with a gospel song (I'm talking about video) you can hardly get through to air your songs. People prefer listening to secular music now. Check all the salons; MTV is the channel people prefer.

Gospel songs can hardly be heard these days. Does that mean the gospel of Jesus Christ is not supposed to be heard anymore?
A gospel minister now struggles to promote his or her song. Who is holding back this gospel?
How do we push out the message of Christ to the whole world?
Could it be that Christians with the opportunity to promote Jesus Christ do not do so anymore because of money?
There are so many songs not being heard today because people cannot afford to promote them.
So what can be done at this point?

How can we spread the gospel of Jesus to the world???

Grace meets Ufuoma a passionate musician...

...a passionate, creative and inspirational musician, who brings excitement, healing, lifting and deliverance to all in need through testimonies both young and old, in order to create a memorable experience they will want to share with people, Ufuoma is called to worship. Music ministers to God and still blesses His people!

With a calm singing style she has ushered many in concerts, crusades and churches into the presence of God. Ufuoma regards music as a tool that breaks barriers, reaches anyone. Born in Lagos Nigeria, a native of Ughelli North in Delta state south- south Nigeria, to the family of late Pastor F.A. Onofeghara who was an Elder in RCCG and a Professor at the University of Port-Harcourt. Ufuoma developed her love for music and the gospel at an early age, inspired by Yolanda Adams. The more she watched her performance, the more she wanted to sing like her. She was further inspired by Shirley Caesar and Whitney Houston. Her love for Jazz music takes her to the stable of Jill Scot and Ella Fitzgerald. These all stirred her into singing in the school choir and later at the local church choir. As time passed, Ufuoma's yearning increased as she felt there was so much more to music and wanted even more out of it! She developed an increasing intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and found out that music is a weapon and a tool to tell a story and from the story that tool can heal, deliver and lift a person’s spirit. This was how a ministry was born; she heard the word expressly from the Holy Spirit saying, "go and use this gift to bless lives, change men and women" He said, "go and testify in worship"

Ufuoma studied industrial chemistry in Uniport and B.A. English in Open University Nigeria. She writes and sings. Her debut E.P. 'Your Love' was recorded and mixed in Nigeria in 2015 and has been described by many as a blessing, with the hit track Your love, a soft rock tune, that's being sung all over the world.
Listen and be blessed!!!
